Mount Alvernia Retreat Center offers retreats throughout the year. All faiths are invited to attend. Over 6500 persons retreat to Mt. Alvernia each year. Retreat and workshop subjects include—but are not limited to—healing for the physically ill, spiritual, marriage enrichment, addictions, and abuse. Individuals, couples, and groups may attend the retreats. Children may also attend the healing retreats. The typical retreat lasts for two-and-half days (Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday).

For  weekend retreat descriptions and scheduling information, see the retreat and workshop schedule.

For information about one-day retreats, see monthly one-day retreats.

All retreats require registration. To register, please telephone the Mount Alvernia Retreat Office at (845) 297-5706, ext. 112 or send e-mail to mtalverniaretreat@gmail.com. If you have special dietetic needs, you must indicate them when you telephone or include them in your e-mail. (For weekend retreats retreatants are also reminded to sign-in upon arrival at 7PM on Friday evenings.) The center is handicap accessible and includes an elevator for those retreatants who are unable to use the stairs. If you use a service dog, please call ahead to make special arrangements; otherwise, no pets or exotic animals are allowed.

If your group is interested in attending a retreat, your group coordinator should contact the Mount Alvernia Retreat Office for registration and accommodation information. Group coordinators must confirm the approximate number of retreatants at least one week prior to the retreat date.

Rates and fees for various retreats:

Please contact Mount Alvernia Retreat Office for the latest rate information. Personal checks are accepted; make checks payable to Mt. Alvernia Retreat Center. Mount Alvernia, a non-profit organization, does not deny attendance because of a person’s lack of financial resources. Deposits will be returned if a scheduled retreat is under-subscribed.

Additional information about accommodations, meal times, dietetic needs, etc. is listed in the Miscellaneous section below. If you have additional questions, please contact the Mount Alvernia Retreat Office at (845) 297-5706 ext. 112.
