Mount Alvernia Retreat Center is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the N.Y. Province of the Immaculate Conception. The Center conducts and hosts spiritual programs for persons of all faiths, although its major focus is Roman Catholic spirituality. It has served the community since 1968.  It is located in the village of Wappinger Falls, New York, on 204 acres overlooking the Hudson Valley in Dutchess County.

Mount Alvernia invites you to attend the Lighting of Mount Alvernia on Sunday, November 30, at 7PM. You are invited to attend that Solemn Service of Evening Prayer in the chapel and to visit the living Nativity with live animals. The St. Columba Choir from Hopewell Junction, NY., will lead us in song and festivity. Refreshments will follow in the lower-level hall.
